For the best deals on the Mercedes E63: 🤍 The Mercedes E-Class is about to receive a refresh, but little about the 2019 E63 S AMG model makes it feel out-of-date. Under the hood sits a 4.0-liter hand-built twin-turbo V8 producing 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, which is among our favorite engines on the market today. Power goes out through a nine-speed automatic transmission to 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, enabling a spine crunching 0-60 mph time of around three seconds. The E63 isn't quite as comfortable as a standard E-Class, especially when equipped with the optional performance seats, though it is still quiet and livable as a daily driver. With an as-tested price of $137,880, the E63 is no cheap date but it does a stellar job of acting as a comfortable daily driver and a ripsnorting sportscar. RENNtech do some wonderful things, as I know from my AMG GT R, so while visiting 🤍gercollector we check out his RENNtech AMG E63S that's running 728hp and 1072nm of torque (from 612hp and 850nm). With numbers that aren't exactly small, it's perfectly suited for an Autobahn blast up to the winter tyre limit of 280km/h! Gercollector has made a few modifications to his car; as you can see there's an override on the suspension to lower it all the way down, it also then has the RENNtech tune and blowoff valve installed, as well as the new wheels for the winter tyres. The E63 S to begin with is the ultimate sleeper-saloon with so much power coming from the 4.0l biturbo V8 and managed by the 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox to the 4MATIC+ system with the controllable 4WD that can also go into Drift Mode. RBR VS Mode Episodes are coming at you with a vengeance!! After the awesome Taycan 4S vs RWD episode, it’s time to do a proper petrolhead hero car battle : #AMG E63S vs E63S. Old vs New! Loud vs Subdued. Analog vs Digital! Not a huge amount has changed technically speaking as far as performance goes on the E63S. It maintains the brutal 4.0 V8 bi turbo, and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G. And of course the famed AMG 4matic+ 100% variable all wheel drive system with drift mode. Both E 63 S produce 612 BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.4 - but we test both to be way quicker, so stick around for the launch controls! Minor differences: the interior gets a new where and the awesome MBUX, and the facelift gets AMG dynamics, which influences the ESP system based on your requirements or driver skill. And the main bit is adjustments to the AMG ride control suspension, which has been modified to be more comfortable. Oh, and the exhaust is now muted due to EU regs since then. That means, for the AMG Addict, the prefacelift E63S is basically the same car, just louder, less interior tech and arguably a more aggressive design!! The last V8 AMG Estate ever! ;_; A sad sad day for all us #AMG fans today, as I’ve bought the last new E63 S with a V8, and as an estate - The New E63 S Final Edition. Just 999 units limited edition between sedan and estate, it’s a rare beast that will stand the test of time. Rumour has it that #MercedesAMG won’t have a V8 E63 going forward, and for the short term no E63 at all! :( An E53 will exist with the 4 Cylinder hybrid setup, and if we are lucky, a 6 cylinder E63 some time in the future. Follow us on TikTok: 🤍 Here it is - the all-new Mercedes E-Class! Mercedes has lifted the veil on its competitor to the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, and it’s the longest & widest E-Class ever made! But does that make it better than the previous generation? Let’s take a closer look… For starters, there won’t be any mistaking the new E-Class for the holder models from the outside. There’s a taller, chunkier grille around the front, which is surrounded by a chrome border. There are two styles of grille depending on which trim you use - the AMG Line comes with a large Mercedes badge surrounded by miniature 3-pointed stars, whereas the Exclusive trim has a more-retro-inspired grille. There are also new LED headlight designs, along with updated brake lights around the rear that come in the shape of the Mercedes 3-pointed star. Step inside and you’d be forgiven for thinking you were sitting in a top-of-the-range Merc! The huge infotainment screen mimics the hyper screen found in an EQS, although in this instance it’s called the ‘Superscreen’ as the size is a bit smaller. There’s also the option extra to add a screen on the dash for the passenger, and there’s a choice of quality materials to add to the cabin for those looking to customise their E-Class. There are a number of petrol, diesel and hybrid engine choices available for the new E-Class. The entire range comes with a 2-litre 4-cylinder engine, and all come with a form of hybrid tech. Entry-level models come with mild-hybrid technology, while there are also some plug-in hybrids available. The range-topper is the E400 e, where the engine & motor combine to deliver 381hp. This edition can also fly to 60mph in 5.3 seconds. A flagship 6-cylinder is also in the works, which is likely to be the new AMG E63. But as of yet, we don’t have details on when that will be released. The new E-Class is due to be released in Summer 2023, and although Mercedes hasn’t released the price yet, you can expect the range to start from around £50,000. Big risks taken outside by #MercedesBenz, and maybe even bigger ones taken inside in the new W214 generation. But will they pay off? We all know how important the E is, Mercedes have sold over 16 million of these mid size luxury cars to date, so they really have to get this right! So today we will check every detail of the car outside, and big changes inside - and we will even discuss a little AMG too! The new one continues to link heavily as a bridge between C Class and S Class, but also now seeks to build a bridge to the EQ cars. That’s super obvious with the front grille and its black panel, as well as the connected rear light. These features are on both designs, in the Progressive or classic design line. Luckily that is where the EQ links end, as we have a traditional cab backward design with sporty Power domes, huge arches and the epic lights with E Class style Light eyebrows - oh and an illuminated grille you can use while driving! #mercedes stars are everywhere around the car too, most noticeably in the new rear light graphic which I think looks amazing! The E Class is now with 50% plug in cars, or mild hybrid combustion cars, and the line up is stacked on both sides. The plug ins are especially interesting, as they have 100KM of pure electric miles too!. More interestingly, we will have a top dog 6 cylinder engine, which will come soon! The plug ins also get All-round AIRMATIC air suspension system with ADS+ continuously adjustable damping and rear-axle steering 4.5 degrees! The interior, I surprisingly love it in person. Simplified MBUX super screen is way better than the hyper screen as the driver gets their own unit, and the screen sits much lower thus reducing bulk. MBUX 3 is updated to allow it to hear you without saying “Hey Mercedes” and thanks to a new API, developers can make apps - like Angry Birds or Zoom! The 2019 Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon is the best car I've ever driven. It's a perfect culmination of speed, power, luxury, design, and practicality. This is the best car that's ever been produced. It's everything you could possibly want. The exhaust is barbaric and the interior is plush. It's fast as hell and it's comfortable and luxurious. If I could never have another car again, it would be this car. You can keep your Lamborghini Huracans, BMW M5, M4, and M3s, and your Porsche 911. This Mercedes AMG is perfection engineered. Sedan or Wagon: BRABUS PowerXtra B40 – 700 engine tuning makes the new Mercedes E 63 S 4MATIC+ even more of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The BRABUS power unit engineers used state-of-the-art test bench technology and extensive test drives on racetracks and public roads to develop a performance kit that boosts the power output of the turbocharged 4.0-liter (243 cu in) V8 engine by 64.7 kW / 88 HP (87 bhp). The plug-and-play auxiliary control unit upgrades the electronic engine control unit with new mapping for injection and ignition, and increases the boost pressure. As a result, the rated output jumps from standard 450 kW / 612 HP to 515 kW / 700 HP (603 to 691 bhp) at a low 6,100 rpm. Peak torque grows simultaneously from 850 to 950 Nm (627 to 701 lb-ft), on tap already at 3,500 rpm. BRABUS recommends high-performance motor oil from technology partner MOTUL. In harmonious concert with the nine-speed sports transmission, an E 63 S 4MATIC+ sedan with BRABUS PowerXtra B40 – 700 performance upgrade accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds. The slightly heavier wagon takes just a tenth of a second longer for the same exercise. The top speed of both body styles is 300 km/h (186 mph). Already under development is a BRABUS Vmax Unit, which will further increase the top speed. Sound and performance are the strong suits of the BRABUS sport exhaust system for all E 63 variants. The fully stainless exhaust lowers the back pressure and features exhaust flaps for an electronically controlled sound management. From the cockpit, the driver is able to choose between the discreet ‘Coming Home’ mode and the open position of the exhaust flaps, which coax a particularly powerful exhaust note from the twin-turbo V8. The aerodynamic properties are essential for perfect handling stability at the tremendously high speeds a vehicle as powerful as this is able to attain. The BRABUS designers went into the wind tunnel to develop bodywork components made from extremely light yet high strength carbon fiber. The precise-fit components come with a choice of high-gloss or matte protective coating. The BRABUS front spoiler lip attaches to the underside of the E 63 production bumper. Thanks to its shape, it reduces aerodynamic front axle lift on the four-door and five-door model. The even more distinctive face also comes courtesy of the BRABUS surrounds for the large air intakes on the left and right in the front bumper. The same superlight composite material is used to manufacture the BRABUS rear spoiler and the diffuser insert for the rear bumper, which provides the perfect backdrop for the two dual design tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust. Of course, the tailor-made BRABUS wheels with diameters of up to 21 inches, safety-certified for all E 63 models, play a major part in the thrilling looks of the BRABUS 700. The most exclusive variant features BRABUS Monoblock “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels in various designs. By being manufactured using a hi-tech forging process, these wheels offer a perfect combination of lightweight design and maximum strength. They come in three designs, BRABUS Monoblock F, R or Y “Platinum Edition,” and are mounted on the E-Class in the combination 9Jx21 on the front axle and 10.5Jx21 in back. BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the matching high-performance tires of sizes 265/30 ZR 21 at the front and 305/25 ZR 21 on the rear axle. The ultra-low-profile tires lend the sedan and wagon an extravagant appearance and give it even more agile handling.
