India and China claim vast swathes of each other's territory along their Himalayan border. It erupted in a deadly war in 1962. And although a truce is in place with a “Line of Actual Control,” the border remains disputed. On June 15th, tensions along the border turned violent for the first time in over half a century. India says at least 20 of its soldiers were killed after hand-to-hand fighting with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. China has not released any information on casualties. India and China traded accusations that the other had violated their shared de facto border. But analysts say the violence speaks to a bigger geopolitical issue. Emanuela Campanella explains. In June 2020, the most serious confrontation between Chinese and Indian military forces since almost 60 years occurred at the Galwan River valley, right at the disputed border region, leaving several soldiers dead on both sides. This was a striking reminder that one of of the oldest ongoing territorial disputes is far from being solved, and since then concerns about a potential escalation of the issue have increased significantly. While this Himalayan conflict between China and India can be observed regularly in the news, it is rare to be provided an actual explanation of what the whole issue is really about. In this video, we are taking a look at all the disputed territories, from Aksai Chin, over to Sikkim and finally to Arunachal Pradesh, or how China calls it, South Tibet. We explore the historic background of the conflict, its development in the 20th and 21st century and also look at some of the reasons why these territories matter so much to the two states. An estimated 60,000 Chinese soldiers are positioned on India’s border, with main battle tanks, fighter jets and artillery facing off against 200,000 Indian forces on the other side. This is the border between the world’s two most populous nations both armed with plenty of nuclear weapons, so the consequences of this conflict extend far beyond Southeast Asia. It might as well be happening on the border with my neighbor Carl. editor note show population numbers over map animation. But what exactly are these two giants fighting over in this inhospitable 4,000 meter high altitude freezing region that is so strategically important? Written by: Chris Cappy & Brian Sproule Edited by: Michael Michaelides Why are they fighting with sticks and stones when they have perfectly good rifles right next to them? and how can we hope to avoid all-out conflict between India and China? Hit the like button and let's get started. (Jayadeva Ranade) A former Indian National Security Advisory, believes he knows the truth about why China has recently become more aggressive in the region. It’s because Xi Jingping needs to protect his new China Pakistan economic corridor. This is Xi Jinping's most expensive belt and road project over the past decade at $65 billion dollars. When you hear about “belt and road” all the other projects are a total sideshow compared to this. Because the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor. CPEC will add a new 10,000 km shorter route for oil transport from the middle east to enter western China. This will eliminate China’s single greatest strategic vulnerability to the US navy blockading and cutting off their energy supply. There’s only one problem: it's located just a few kilometers from India’s disputed border with Pakistan. And to make matters worse, it’s located inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir so the roads and railways pass directly through territory that has been claimed by India as their own. It would be like if my neighbor Carl started expanding his driveway into the weird place between our yards where we’re not sure who owns it but we agreed neither of us would start construction there. Cut that out Carl. According to India this project is being built in illegally occupied territory. So India has tens of thousands of soldiers located a few kilometers away from this strategically important trade route for China. In September 2020, India’s Chief of Defence Staff (General Bipin Rawat) acknowledged this very problem stating “Chinese economic cooperation with Pakistan, in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along with continued military, economic and diplomatic support mandate high levels of preparation by us.” One of my favorite proverbs from India is “where the needle goes the thread follows” I think CPEC has accelerated tensions on the border. Because in response to Chinese build up in 2021 India shifted 50,000 additional troops to their border with China to reinforce the region. They did this by taking 20,000 troops and 6 army divisions off their western border with rival Pakistan to prioritize defense against China instead. Videos of Indian and Chinese soldiers fighting along the Himalayan border with fists, clubs and rocks have been going viral for a number of years - but experts fear the mediaeval violence could spiral out of control into full-scale war, as leaders Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi use the crisis to boost their support in India and China and strengthen their positions on the international stage. (Subscribe: 🤍 But why are soldiers from these vast nuclear powers fighting over desolate mountain ranges with such primitive weapons? It’s an argument that goes back decades that both sides have tried to contain, by limiting the use of guns in the region, but after a deadly clash in 2020, that agreement is breaking down. Now, soldiers have been told to use their weapons if they’re threatened and fears among experts of escalation and the prospect of war are growing. - Watch more of our explainer series here - 🤍 Get more news at our site - 🤍 Follow us: Facebook - 🤍 Twitter - 🤍
Has China really intruded into the Indian Territory in Ladakh? The answer depends on which country's political map do you use and whose claim do you consider. On June 15, at least 20 Indian soldiers, including a Colonel, lost their lives in a violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley region of eastern Ladakh. The incident occurred amidst a stated "de-escalation process” in the high-altitude border area, and less than a week after both countries announced that an agreement towards peaceful resolution had been reached. Chinese military incursions at the border are being viewed as an unprecedented departure from the status quo – leading to the first deaths at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in 45 years. China's People’s Liberation Army, however, has claimed sovereignty over the Galwan Valley region and accused India of violating their agreement. As tensions between India and China soar, what immediate impact will this conflict have on their already precarious relationship? How can India prioritise its economic, political and security needs in the face of China’s increasingly powerful, and aggressive, global strategy? What implications does this clash hold for the balance of power in India's immediate neighborhood and around the world? We hosted Ashley J. The Indian army said on Monday that soldiers from India and China clashed last week along the two countries' disputed Himalayan border. It was the first reported standoff between troops from the two Asian giants since deadly clashes in 2020 strained their already tense relations. Troops from both sides have adhered to long-standing protocols to avoid the use of firearms along the frontier, known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The LAC separates Chinese and Indian-held territories from Ladakh in the west to Arunachal Pradesh. #china #india #border Subscribe: 🤍 For more news go to: 🤍 Follow DW on social media: ►Facebook: 🤍 ►Twitter: 🤍 ►Instagram: 🤍 ►Twitch: 🤍 Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie: 🤍

On The Listening Post this week: Chinese and Indian media take opposite tacks to reporting the deadly clash between troops along the border. Plus, Turkish TV dramas and "neo-Ottoman cool". Sino-Indian clash: Disputed border, divided media The two most populous countries in the world, China and India, are dealing with the fallout of their first deadly border clash in almost half a century. Twenty Indian soldiers were reportedly killed, some clubbed to death, by Chinese forces. We know practically nothing else about the story - that is because the confrontation took place in the middle of nowhere at an altitude of 14,000 feet (about 4,300 metres), on a Himalayan mountain that journalists cannot get to, and because the two governments are saying very little. Indian media are speculating, calling for boycotts, and urging their politicians to wage an economic war against China. On the other side, the coverage is almost non-existent. This is a story about narratives - two governments that, in their own ways, are out to keep a lid on this conflict before it gets out of hand. Ertugrul: Turkish TV's Ottoman phenomenon goes global Dirilis: Ertugrul (or Resurrection: Ertugrul) is one of Turkey's biggest television exports yet, and has helped cement Turkey among the top exporters of TV content in the world. It is an historical epic set in the 13th century during the founding of the Ottoman empire; with five seasons, more than 400 episodes, and hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide, Dirilis: Ertugrul cashes in on a wave of nostalgia and fascination for an era that has become known as "Neo-Ottoman Cool". But given the topic, the time period and current geo-political events, there is a propagandistic feel to the show and others like it - one that plays right into the hands of Turkey's governing party, the AK Party, and President Erdogan's own brand of Turkish nationalism. The Listening Post's Meenakshi Ravi reports on how history, politics and entertainment collide in Turkey's Ottoman TV epics. #shorts #china #india China and India are two incredibly large and powerful countries which have been caught in a dangerous border dispute in the Himalayas for decades. Regular violent confrontations between Chinese and Indian border guards are making the news every so often, and remind us of the possibility of conflict or war even between China and India. Although almost the entirety of the border is disputed, the situation is kept relatively calm by the Line of Actual Control and several bilateral agreements on border management. Nonetheless, it remains a serious danger to world peace. China has accused Indian troops of illegally crossing a disputed Himalayan border and firing "provocative" warning shots at patrolling soldiers. China's military said its soldiers were "forced to take countermeasures", though it is not clear what they were. India rejected the allegations and accused Chinese troops of firing in the air during the face-off in the high-altitude Ladakh region. Relations between the countries have steadily deteriorated in recent months. India said the People's Liberation Army (PLA) had tried to approach a forward Indian position near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and "fired a few rounds in the air in an attempt to intimidate [our] own troops". SINO-INDIAN BORDER ISSUES The border between India and China is not clearly demarcated throughout. Along certain stretches of its 3,488-km length, there is no mutually agreed Line of Actual Control (LAC). India, following Independence, believed it had inherited firm boundaries from the British, but this was contrary to China’s view. China felt the British had left behind a disputed legacy on the boundary between the two newly formed republics. The India-China border is divided into three sectors, viz. Western, Middle and Eastern. The boundary dispute in the Western Sector pertains to the Johnson Line proposed by the British in the 1860s that extended up to the Kunlun Mountains and put Aksai Chin in the then princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. Independent India used the Johnson Line and claimed Aksai Chin as its own. Despite two decades of CBMs and the thaw in bilateral relations, incidents on the border, known as “incursions”, “intrusions” or “violations” continue to be reported in the Indian media. The terms, “incursion”, “intrusion” and “violation” are sometimes used interchangeably in Indian English-language newspapers to refer to Chinese actions in disputed areas of the LAC. The Indian government, denying that there have been Chinese intrusions along the LAC since 2010, prefers to call them “transgressions”. Although denial and underplaying of incidents on the Sino-Indian border was the general trend, at least on one occasion, the Indian government admitted the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) intrusion into Indian territory. The PLA reportedly entered 10 km inside the Indian territory in eastern Ladakh and set up a platoon-sized camp on 15 April 2013. The incident preceded Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s state visit to India on 19 May 2013. The April 2013 episode was not an innocent transgression; it was, by the Indian government’s own definition, an intrusion—an intentional and provocative breach of the LAC. 1 The India-China Border Question: An Analysis of International Law The Vienna Convention on Law of Treaties of 1969 (VCLT) is the fundamental instrument that regulates all treaties between states, as well as their disputes. It codifies different historical approaches, state practices, and generally accepted behaviour of states for the purpose of resolving crises due to a clash of interests between two states. However, the VCLT has often either failed to contain disputes or facilitated the gross misinterpretation of existing laws, which is detrimental to international and bilateral relations. Disputes over territorial claims often figure prominently in the discourses concerning criticism of treaty laws. One fundamental reason is that within a treaty law, multiple elements are applicable to the same issue. Treaty arrangements are merely statements of acceptance of legal obligations and the manner in which the breach of such obligations should be addressed; the specific mechanisms are left to be decided by successive treaties or protocols. However, principles of customary law, uti possidetis, effective control, and the principle of historic rights are sine qua non to fill the gaps in law that a codified treaty may not have adequately addressed or to guide states where a treaty is altogether absent. Thus, a state’s subjective interpretation and application of principles may clash with globally accepted standards. 1.1 Line of Actual Control: Legal Status Effective diplomacy between nations is contingent upon a combination of ethical and political conduct and the tactical use of treaty laws. 1.2 Principle of Historic Rights and Dwindling Claim of Sovereignty China has often invoked the principle of “historic rights” to assert its claim over Indian territories, e.g. the claim to the South China Sea (SCS). 1.3 Border Management and Practices: Interpretation of Treaty Laws Article 2 of the VCLT defines treaty as an “international agreement” between states in written form and governed by International Law. 1.4 The Agreement on Confidence-Building Measures (1996): Scope and Limitations The 1996 Agreement lays down the general rules of border security and confidence measures, with the 2005 Protocol building upon those rules to provide a procedural safeguard. 1.5 Chinese Diplomacy and its Legal Obligations China’s behavioural aspect, too, warrants scrutiny to understand the consequences of Chinese actions in its performance of international obligations. 1.6 Recommendations In light of China’s political and diplomatic approaches to international issues in general, and to the India–China border dispute in particular, India must re-evaluate its approach, especially where it concerns China. 1.7 Conclusion The resolution of the Indo–China border dispute will be a complex process, especially considering the Chinese position and approach.
Trouble is brewing at the roof of the world. India and China both claim territory along the Himalayas. Their border dispute goes back decades. The Indian military says in the first week of May, Indian and Chinese soldiers scuffled and threw stones at each other in the Pangong Tso lake and Naku La areas. Chinese state media say Indian troops trespassed on Chinese territory, but India's government said its soldiers stayed on its side. Satellite images appear to show both sides bolstering their presence along the Line of Actual Control separating the two armies. So why is this happening now? The tensions at the India-China border are growing. The Chinese military is attempting fresh incursions. It is engaging in ceasefire violations. Military commanders from India and China will meet this month for the 13th time. So far, their dialogue has failed to produce any results. It looks like India now wants to pressurize china militarily for a solution. #India #China #MilitaryCommanders About Channel: WION -The World is One News, examines global issues with in-depth analysis. Indian and Chinese troops clashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector in the early hours of December 9, beating each other up with sticks and canes in their closest encounter since the deadly Galwan incident in eastern Ladakh in June 2020. The Defence Minister told Lok Sabha that on December 9, PLA troops carried out an incursion across the LAC in Yangtse area of Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh, and attempted to unilaterally change the status quo. Indian troops resisted this attempt by China “with firmness”, and there was a scuffle in this faceoff. “Our Army with great bravery stopped the PLA incursion and forced them to return to their post,” the Defence Minister said. In this today’s InNews programme of Drishti IAS, we shall talk about the recent incursion of Chinese troops and border clash between Indian and Chinese Soldiers. We shall also discuss about the implication of this Clash between Indian Soldiers and Chinese Soldiers. Why Chinese soldiers tried to violate the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and how this event is related to the anti-government protest in China. We shall also discuss that why Arunachal Pradesh in general and Tawang specifically is so important for China. At the end of the discuss we shall talk about the present and historical background of India-China Border dispute. इस लिंक पर जाकर सब्सक्राइब करें: 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 𝐆𝐒 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐬 + 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬) 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞/𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞: 👉 For 𝐟𝐞𝐞, 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 of this course visit this link: 🤍 or download the 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐩𝐩. 👉 To know the 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 through our website click on this link: 🤍 👉 𝐓𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 about this 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐌𝐒 "𝐆𝐒" on this number: 𝟗𝟑𝟏𝟏𝟒𝟎𝟔𝟒𝟒𝟐 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬): 👉 For 𝐟𝐞𝐞, 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 of 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (Hindi Literature and other courses): 🤍 👉 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 playlist- 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 👉 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 की पुस्तकें (संपूर्ण सेट एक साथ) खरीदने के लिये निम्नलिखित लिंक्स का प्रयोग करें: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞: 🤍 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧: 🤍 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭: 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 👉 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 की पुस्तकें (संपूर्ण सेट एक साथ) खरीदने के लिये निम्नलिखित लिंक्स का प्रयोग करें: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞: 🤍 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧: 🤍 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭: 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 👉 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 की पुस्तकें खरीदने के लिये निम्नलिखित लिंक्स का प्रयोग करें: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞: 🤍 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧: 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 👉 𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 की पुस्तकें खरीदने के लिये निम्नलिखित लिंक्स का प्रयोग करें: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐢 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞: 🤍 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭: 🤍 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧: 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 : 👉 Facebook : 🤍 👉 Twitter : 🤍 👉 Instagram : 🤍 👉 Telegram : 🤍 👉 LinkedIn : 🤍 =̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵=̵ 👉 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬' 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬: 1. China said four of its troops died last June in a violent border clash with India, the first detailed account of Chinese casualties from that time. The PLA Daily named the four soldiers as Chen Hongjun, Chen Xiangrong, Xiao Siyuan and Wang Zhuoran. “These heroic border guards left their youth, blood, and even life in the Karakoram Plateau and built a towering boundary monument,” the PLA Daily said, referring to an area spanning India, China and Pakistan. The Central Military Commission of China gave the men awards for their role in defending the country, it added. India and China moved thousands of soldiers, tanks, artillery to their 3,488 kilometer (2,167 mile) border after clashes in the Galwan valley in the disputed border area of Ladakh last June. India had said it lost 20 soldiers in one of the most violent encounters on the contested frontier in decades. A Chinese military spokesperson said at the time there were casualties on both sides without elaborating. “The public reporting of heroic deeds by the Chinese media is the responsibility of the media to objectively report the facts,” said Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang, a Defense Ministry spokesman, in a statement responding to why China chose to make the details public at this point. Ren said China exercised a high degree of restraint following the conflict in June to stabilize relations and deescalate the situation, but that the Indian side “repeatedly hyped up events around the casualties, distorted the truth, misled international public opinion, and slandered Chinese border troops.” China and India have recently begun pulling back their troops from Pangong Lake along their Himalayan border, officials on both sides said, but other areas of conflict between the two neighbors have yet to be addressed. The Communist Party-backed Global Times said was “noticeable” that the PLA Daily report used “foreign military” to refer to the Indian military, saying that it showed “restraint” on China’s part. As troops from both sides move back, “the casualty announcement could be part of a larger effort to stir patriotic support and display resolve in the ongoing standoff with India,” said Bates Gill, a professor of Asia-Pacific security studies at Macquarie University in Sydney. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Friday reiterated that India bore responsibility for the border issue, sidestepping a question as to why it had taken eight months for China to reveal its casualty numbers. She said the release of the information was to counter disinformation perpetrated by Indian media and hoped it would help India “draw lessons from it and better work with China to uphold peace and stability.” - Subscribe to our YouTube channel: 🤍 Bloomberg Quicktake brings you live global news and original shows spanning business, technology, politics and culture.
